Amphitheater landscape -design for Domela Nieuwenhuisplantsoen’s squere in Amsterdam. The clay mountains are built in layers were a wooden slap added to each layer supports the shape and creates steps in between the added levels. The outer wall of the mass is exposed to the fire while the wooden slaps preserve the steps underneath from the blackening smoke. The interior spaces in this way are drawn with the change of preserved and exposed clay to the fierce nature of fire. Alike the wall barrier left on the location from the old Magdalena church illustrates the same contrast between the preserved barrier and the demolished church.

The plan for this amphitheater playground is based on the crack formation that appeared on a block of burnt coffee creamer.
